Mike Walsh and his team were a pleasure to work with. They truly are customer centric and have deep knowledge in SQL Server, Relativity best practices, and legal technology in the eDiscovery space. They brought subject matter expertise, but they also brought integrity, excitement for the job and a true passion for client focus to our engagement. His team has been a valuable partner as we’ve provided world class services to our clients.Wes Moorhead
This is what it sounds like: A quick, but detailed, check of your SQL server world. In a SQL Server Health assessment, we look at up to 3 instances of SQL with an affordable offering to new clients. We look from multiple points of view; DBA operational best practices, SQL Server instance setup, Windows best practices for SQL Server, Infrastructure performance and setup, Virtualization or cloud performance and setup, and Code and database performance.
In this SQL Server health check we look for common trouble spots we find in the field. A health assessment starts with an interview with your team. We then review your entire environment with enough time to collect meaningful data. Finally, we deliver a complete document with findings. This document gives you a prioritized action list.
We review this document in a meeting with your team and answer any questions you have. We teach you how to make the needed changes and normally have a “stump the consultant” time in these meetings also. This is your chance to ask any SQL Server questions your team has.
We can help you make the needed changes, too. Some clients want us to. Some clients want to work with us on a SQL Server DBA On Demand retainer. Some clients are fine with just the document and instructions at the meeting. Either way, our goal is to help you get the most out of SQL Server.
