About Us

You could say we’re really more of a family than a “place to work.” We are a high values culture. We’ve all read The Ideal Team Player by Patrick Lencioni and we serve each other and our clients. We’ve also all ready Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin, and we have a “work hard and get the job done” attitude.

Our team has agreed on our “core values”. Core because they are who we are. If Straight Path stopped being these things – we’d all leave, even Mike! They are –  Generoristy, Integrity, Ownership Mentality, Humility.

Generosity – With our clients. With our team. We’ve had a couple of awkward client conversations because of budget. Our answer, when we can, is usually something like “Let’s just pause billing a couple months or reduce level on paper but give you what you need and see if this passes.” And we’re looking out for each other. We all strive to make family come first for each other with things like our week off available to give back to a charity, or a recent decision to be mostly shut down the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day to give our team time with their families.

Integrity – It matters. All of the seniors have been around for awhile now. We could work anywhere. We choose to work with folks who are who they portray themselves as. It’s that simple. It’s hard to get fired here, we believe in grace and genrorsity. A miss on integrity is a good start though.

Ownership Mentality – We’re “On it” – we are there for our clients and for the team. We get the job done. That doesn’t mean we work insane schedules, it just means we stick with it.

Humility – We’ve all started somewhere. To succeed at Straight Path you need to be humble. We are teachers and mentors first. We’re coaches. You won’t find “bosses” at Straight Path. But you’ll find a lot of natural leaders working together.

About You

We’re not currently looking to fill any roles specifically, but we’re always on the lookout for hungry, humble, and smart folks to join our team. When we hire it seems to often either be for a mid-level to senior DBA/Consultant with 15+ years of SQL Server experience to join our team of senior consultants when we’re looking for a role there. We also are building our support team up and often are willing to hire someone who is thoughtful, compassionate, on it, and committed to results who wants to learn and be mentored from our team of Senior folks. If you have a tech support or IT helpdesk background and are looking to go deeper with SQL, that may be a role for you also.

Send us your resume and we’ll keep it on file and update this page when we’re looking to hire again.
