PASS Prayers 2015 This Week!

I’m late in getting this message out. I’ve had a busy couple weeks. This week the PASS Summit starts. In fact, as I type this, I’m on a plane heading there myself with at least couple hundred people in the air right now as well. More arrive tomorrow, some already arrived and more on Tuesday.

This year will mark the 7th year in a row that God a group of Christians are getting together to praise God, dedicate the time, pray for the event, pray for success and fellowship together each morning – and sometimes after as well.

You can read about the first year of PASS Prayers here.

Rather than give all the how and why and who details here. Go read that post from 2009. Short of it? We gather each morning and pray, chat, sometimes sing, and encourage one another. If you are a Christian – the definition there is pretty ecumenical – we agree on essentials, but differ in denominations. Maybe not the best place to have deep theology discussions 😉 but a good place to pray, share fellowship and catch up with other believers. The crowd ebbs and flows as the week goes on.

This week – We’ll be meeting in the Sheraton, right next to the convention center.

Mike C. checked in today at the Sheraton and secured permission to meet in the Sheraton’s Flame Lounge at 7AM on Monday and Tuesday. And the other days we’ll have a conference room to use. So please – feel free to show up to the Sheraton Lounge tomorrow at 7Am, and each day at 7AM. It’s oaky if you have to come later or leaver earlier. It’s okay if you weren’t there the first couple days or can only come once. It’s still a great time.

I may not be there the first morning, I have a need to sleep in later tomorrow if my body and clock will let me. But If I am up – I’ll walk up and be there. It’s a great time and a great combination of geek, friend and Brothers and Sisters in the Lord. We aren’t alone. And we can redeem the time 🙂

We try and use the #PASSPrayers hashtag to announce the times and gatherings and any other meetups. Look forward to seeing you all at the Summit 🙂

Mike loves mentoring clients on the right Systems or High Availability architectures because he enjoys those lightbulb moments and loves watching the right design and setup come together for a client. He started Straight Path in 2010 when he decided that after over a decade working with SQL Server in various roles, it was time to try and take his experience, passion, and knowledge to help clients of all shapes and sizes. Mike is a husband, father to four great children, and a Christian. He’s a volunteer Firefighter and EMT in his small town in New Hampshire, and when he isn’t playing with his family, solving SQL Server issues, or talking shop, it seems like he has plenty to do with his family running a small farm in NH raising Beef Cattle, Chickens, Pigs, Sheep, Goats, Honeybees and who knows what other animals have been added!
